I was reading a blog that discussed the “differences” between mainstream Christianity and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The controversy lies in the fact that most of Christianity, denies that prophets can exist. They believe that The Bible is the absolute and final word of God. It is the cannon and is closed. Yet, it is apparent that although they read The Bible they do not believe everything in the bible. For instance in Amos it clearly states, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” (
The greatest expression of love that has ever been shown to us was the atonement, the very moment when man through Jesus Christ was reconciled to God the Father. I do not pretend to know all there is to know about the atonement. I do know something about it. I know that God’s laws are unbreakable, meaning they are infinite and eternal. Perhaps I should have led with this, but here it is now none-the-less. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. As a young boy he had the courage to pray to find out which church was true.
