    Do Mormons still practice polgamy?

    No, as a matter of fact any LDS member found to be practicing polgamy will be excommunicated from the church. Polygamy was officially discountinued in 1890 and has not been practiced in public or private since.

    Are Mormons Christian?

    Yes, we are Christian. Our name is actually The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The term Mormon was originally coined by people that wanted to make us seem unchristian, despite our actual beliefs are very Christian. We practice many of the same ordinances that Jesus Christ implemented while he was on the earth. The term Mormon is also used because in addition to The Bible we also believe in The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

    Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

    No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We revere him as a great man who is also a prophet, "Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it." (D&C 135:3) He is much like Moses, Elijah, and Elias. Through the Prophet Joseph Smith God communicated his will concerning his church. We only worship God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ.

    Do Mormons believe in The Bible?

    Yes, we believe in the Bible. It is part of our standard works. We use it on a regular basis to prepare talks, lessons, and teach others. We also believe in The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It too testifys of Jesus Christ, his mission in this life and his divinity.

    Is The Book of Mormon plaigarized from The Bible?

    No, it is not. We believe that God would reveal similar messages to all people regardless of their location. The Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealings with the indegenious people on the American continent so it would of course make sense that the writings would be similar to The Bible. It is God who is speaking his words to his prophets.

    Do Mormons drink or smoke?

    No we do not drink or smoke, we live by a code of health known as the Word of Wisdom. In addition to all of the things we don't do, it also instructs us on healthy eating habits that will help us live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

    Do Mormons drink caffeine?

    Aside from coffee and tea, a decision to drink caffeinated beverages is entirely up to the individual. Also, the church strongly encourages us to not take substances into our bodies that are addictive or harmful. A member of the church is not disciplined for drinking caffeinated beverages.

    Well it depends on the definition you are using but generally no we are no more a cult than other christian religions. Often times groups or individuals that are anti-mormon use this as a way of demeaning and undermining the church.

    Do most Mormons live in Utah?

    No, actually most members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints live outside of Utah. In fact most members even live outside the United States. In the state of Utah approximately 60% of the population are LDS and 40% of the population is not LDS.

    No, they use the name but they are in no way affiliated with the church.

    Yes, absolutely. Most Friday and Saturday nights you will find youth at church hosted dances filled with a lot of great popular music.

    Yes, we can eat green M&Ms. I've had quite a few of them myself and I am a good member of the church.
